Hello Everyone, Im very sorry for all of your losses, You may be wondering why such a young person like me joined this website, well last summer my close friend was at her house with her 2 sisters, Annie had found there mothers gun & she was still out from the night before. She shooock the gun and pointed it at her sister juanita, POW ! it only took one shot to kill her, i understand that all your losses where intentially done but they involved gun violence and we need to try an prevent that. You are all in my prayers, have Hope.

I saw your video @ amw.com, it really touched me. I'm really sorry for your loss. Our family suffered tragedy as yours & I agree that we need to stand together & help each other, because this can happen to anyone. I wish you all the best in your quest for justice & healing...My prayers are with you.

I watched the story on AMW and decided to come on and leave a note. I pray for all of you who have faced this horrible hell. I can't imagine the agony you have been through. I will keep you all in my prayers and hope that each of you find the people responsible and find some sort of peace again. God Bless

On September 11, 2005, my son, VINCENT A. BAKER, JR (20), was carjacked and shot (6 times with 9 bullet holes) in front of our home in Dolton, Illinois (at that time). He died in our backkyard...IN HIS DAD'S ARMS...What a sight to remember! We became victims of a cruel, senseless act. How could someone inflict that much pain on one family? Not only did someone take away MY son, they took a father, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and friend. This has been a hard pill to swallow for our entire family. Both my daughters have been traumatically scarred from this. About 30 minute prior to shooting, Vincent came to me and said, "Momma, I put the babies to bed (one being his ONLY daughter and the other his neice, both girls 3y/o,then). I'm going to Wendy's to get something to eat. I'll be right back because I have to work in the morning". I then told him "to be careful!"

My life has truly changed since Vincent's death. There's not a day that goes by, that I don't think of him. i's been almost 5 long years and NO nothing from the Dolton PD regarding this case. Hmmm!

To the streets: "SNITCHING AIN'T COOL", put yourself in our shoes.

Status:  UNSOLVED

I am not a parent, but I did have a best friend who was murdered in Westwego, Louisiana between November 1 and November 10, when they found her skeletal remains behind a building off the West Bank Highway.  Someone out there knows what happened to Lisa Robin Kersey and I'm hell bent and determined that I'm going to find out.

I share the pain of losing someone loved deeply by someone incapable of loving them.  I pray with each of the parents I saw today featured on America's Most Wanted via Hulu.com.  I have begun a new campaign to first demonstrate that to let these hoodlums run our streets is cowardly and that we, as people, must stand up to them by speaking up without fear.  We need to meet violence with utterance, not silence.

Good luck in finding the murderers of your children, all beautiful young people of color who have been taken from this world prematurely and for no reason worthy of the crime.  As I wipe my tears away, I will keep each of you, and all of us, in prayer.

Love, Peace, and Blessings.  TheBlaqueProfessor
i saw this group on the amw web-site. My 19yr old brother was recently killed bac in DEC'09. He was shot an killed while sitting on a friends porch next to his own home. Not only was he taken away but my 14 yr old brother was a witness to it all. No child should ever have to witness such a thing. The person was masked so we havent had luck on catching him yet. I have all the family's in my thoughts and prayers and ask that you all keep my family in yours. When will this violence ever end????
God Bless you all in your mission.

I just watched AMW and saw this group. Although I no longer live in Chicago, I was born there and lived there for many years. I miss the city and was sad to know a group like this was needed. Let's STOP this INSANITY. I pray for the families and the victims. Be strong and keep believing that there is goodness in most people. We need to remove the monsters from the streets. If there is anything I can do.....?????

To all present and future members of PURPOSE OVER PAIN, i salute you for you organizing and moving forward with all of your hopes and dreams, so that your loved ones did not die in vain, but that their sacrfices will be the catalyst and motivating force behind the impetus for this movement to be the guiding force for the control, i dare say the total erradication of gun violence from our nation and every other nation on this planet!!!!!! I was watching Americas Most Wanted when i heard your story, i immediately got on the computer to join my heart with yours as we work towards the same goals!!!!!!!There is no time, distance, or any separation between us for surely we are all in this boat together, whether it sinks or floats it will and should affect us the same!!1If you hurt then i hurt also, if you are motivated then i should feel that same motivation and righteous indignation. if you made a promice then we should be as tenaciousa to never give up until that promice has been fulfilled!!!!! Even though you are in Chicago and i am in Beaumont Texas, that means nothing, cannot stop or hinder anything, as long as we have GOID on our side he will direct our paths.I really want to get involved as intimately as possible, Please contact me as soon as possible,at 409-842-1144 as we join forces and see the HANDIWORK OF THE LORD!!!!!!!
I just watched America's Most Wanted and I want all the parents to know that I will be praying for them and to continue to stay strong and most importantly to keep Faith! The devil is truly a lie!!!!!!! Amen!
I want to urge everyone to continue to be strong!!! God will see us through...

Much Love,
