I saw your video @ amw.com, it really touched me. I'm really sorry for your loss. Our family suffered tragedy as yours & I agree that we need to stand together & help each other, because this can happen to anyone. I wish you all the best in your quest for justice & healing...My prayers are with you.
On September 11, 2005, my son, VINCENT A. BAKER, JR (20), was carjacked and shot (6 times with 9 bullet holes) in front of our home in Dolton, Illinois (at that time). He died in our backkyard...IN HIS DAD'S ARMS...What a sight to remember! We became victims of a cruel, senseless act. How could someone inflict that much pain on one family? Not only did someone take away MY son, they took a father, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and friend. This has been a hard pill to swallow for our entire family. Both my daughters have been traumatically scarred from this. About 30 minute prior to shooting, Vincent came to me and said, "Momma, I put the babies to bed (one being his ONLY daughter and the other his neice, both girls 3y/o,then). I'm going to Wendy's to get something to eat. I'll be right back because I have to work in the morning". I then told him "to be careful!"
My life has truly changed since Vincent's death. There's not a day that goes by, that I don't think of him. i's been almost 5 long years and NO nothing from the Dolton PD regarding this case. Hmmm!
To the streets: "SNITCHING AIN'T COOL", put yourself in our shoes.

I share the pain of losing someone loved deeply by someone incapable of loving them. I pray with each of the parents I saw today featured on America's Most Wanted via Hulu.com. I have begun a new campaign to first demonstrate that to let these hoodlums run our streets is cowardly and that we, as people, must stand up to them by speaking up without fear. We need to meet violence with utterance, not silence.
Good luck in finding the murderers of your children, all beautiful young people of color who have been taken from this world prematurely and for no reason worthy of the crime. As I wipe my tears away, I will keep each of you, and all of us, in prayer.

I just watched AMW and saw this group. Although I no longer live in Chicago, I was born there and lived there for many years. I miss the city and was sad to know a group like this was needed. Let's STOP this INSANITY. I pray for the families and the victims. Be strong and keep believing that there is goodness in most people. We need to remove the monsters from the streets. If there is anything I can do.....?????
Much Love,

Matthew 11:25-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
STAY ENCOURAGED!
